Entering the Sandbox

Now that you have your passport, it's time to enter the Sandbox! 🏖️ We call this the Testnet.

"On-chain vs off-chain works like..." a practice run. The Testnet lets you test your code for free before you go live on the Mainnet.

By default, VeWorld starts in Testnet mode—perfect for developers! To build, you'll need two types of fuel:

1. VET: Used for value transfers or tips.

2. VTHO: The "energy" or gas used to pay for transaction fees.

Nice! You don't need to buy these for the Testnet. Just visit the Testnet Faucet, click “Claim Tokens,” and sign the request in your VeWorld wallet.

Within seconds, you’ll see your balance update. You’re getting it! 🚀 You now have a working wallet and the fuel to start building.
