Current season: 23.04.25 - 31.05.25

Welcome to the VeChain Builders Academy, where developers have the opportunity to learn, build, and earn with VeChain. This experience will last from today until the 31st of May.

Whether you're new to blockchain or looking to level up your decentralized application (dApp) development skills, this is the experience for you. The VeChain Builders Academy is structured around four core modules designed to equip you with the knowledge you need to build powerful, scalable dApps on VeChain. As you progress, you will earn EXP (Experience Points). These EXP points measure your learning journey, incentivizes growth and gamifies the experience.

The top 10 positions on the leaderboard on the 31st May will be eligible for a share of the $3,000 VET token reward pool.

⚠️ Note that the leaderboard might change based on additional points rewarded after the manual review of all GitHub and VeChain smart contracts. ⚠️

To qualify for the May rewards, participants must complete the full course (all 4 modules) and submit the following:

  • A GitHub repository link

  • A deployed smart contract URL on the VeChain Testnet Explorer (explore-testnet.vechain.org)

  • A valid VeWorld wallet address

Dive into VeChain with the VeChain Builders Academy, where your knowledge pays off.

All submissions will be manually reviewed to verify that the content is original and complete.

Participants who meet the criteria will receive a Completion Certificate NFT, airdropped to their VeWorld wallet. Only these verified NFT holders will be eligible for the reward pool at the end of May.

If rewards remain after the 100% eligible pool is distributed, outstanding 50% submissions may be considered for a share of the remaining VET.

How to Earn EXP

You can Earn EXP through various learning activities:

  • Course Completion: Every module you complete rewards you with EXP.

  • Quiz Participation: Correctly answering quiz questions demonstrates your understanding and earn you EXP.

  • Interactive Code Exercises: Applying your practical skills by copying and executing code will earn you EXP.

  • GitHub Project Submissions: Creating and submitting quality projects to GitHub can reward you with significant quantities of EXP.

Project Submission Criteria

Project submissions are evaluated based on the following criteria:

1. Technical Implementation

How well does your code work? Is it efficient, bug-free, and well-structured?

2. Innovation & Creativity

Does your project bring something new to the table or uniquely solve a problem?

3. Practical Application

How useful is your project in real-world scenarios? Does it address actual needs in the VeChain ecosystem?

4. Code Quality

Is your code well-documented, following best practices with clear commenting and organization?

5. Project Complexity

More ambitious projects that demonstrate deeper understanding will receive more XP.

6. Presentation

A well-documented README, clear installation instructions, and thoughtful UI/UX design all contribute to higher XP awards.

Each submission is manually reviewed by our team of experts, who will assign EXP based on these criteria.
